Management Team

Trevor Pugh
Chief Executive Officer

Trevor is the founding CEO of Deep Imaging. He is an experienced entrepreneur and engineer with over 35 years of experience in the oil and gas and technology industries. He is a trained physicist and has developed a series of novel technology solutions focused on improving efficiency in the oil and gas industry.  Trevor’s technology innovations have earned him 5 registered international patent families. Before starting Deep Imaging, Trevor served as Vice President of Engineering at National Oilwell Varco where he developed the first successful automated Nitrogen Vaporizer Control System. He was also the founding President and CEO of Scientific Microsystems, a full service artificial lift company which was purchased by IPS in 2000. Trevor holds an HND in Applied Physics from Sheffield City Polytechnic.

Mary Helen O’Leary
Chief Financial Officer

Mary Helen is a finance and operations professional with deep expertise in the technology, energy and venture capital industries. In addition to her role at Deep Imaging, Mary Helen is a business advisor to Bractlet. Before joining Deep Imaging, Mary Helen worked as a fractional CFO for startups such as Clean Chemistry and Wellpath Energy Services and for venture capital firms such as Mercury Fund, SURGE, Sternhill Partners and GC Technology.  She previously held several financial executive roles at technology companies:  CFO at Sungard Energy Systems, Applied Science Fiction (V.P. Finance), Trilogy (Treasurer), Tivoli Networks (Finance Director) and Software Spectrum (Corporate Strategist). She holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a BBA in Accounting from the Texas Christian University-M.J. Neeley School of Business.

John Ughetta
EVP of Business Development

John brings over 25 years of sales management and executive leadership, both in IT and Oil & Gas. He began his career at Halliburton and IBM. Prior to joining Deep Imaging John served as EVP of Sales and business development at Sigma3 and VP of WW sales at MicroSeismic Inc. John holds a BS in Geology from Denison University, and completed engineering training with Otis Engineering, a subsidiary of Halliburton.

Dan Watkins

Dan Watkins  is a co-founder and Partner at Mercury, where he focuses on startups utilizing software, cloud computing and/or machine learning to drive the next wave of scientific innovation in healthcare, agriculture and other industrial markets. Prior to co-founding Mercury, Dan served in a number of operational roles including CEO of DNAtrix and Nanospectra Biosciences, both startup oncology companies. Previously, Dan was Vice President at a boutique investment banking firm and Worldwide Manager of Operations and Control Systems for Scientific Software-Intercomp (Baker Hughes). Dan is also a co-founder of the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship at Rice University. Outside of Mercury, Dan serves on the advisory boards of Northwestern University’s Innovation and New Ventures Office (INVO), the Rice Alliance, the University of Michigan’s Venture Center Council, and the University of Illinois Proof of Concept Fund Committee. Dan received his B.S. from Rice University and his M.S. and Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University, all in Materials Science.

Rich Cilento

Rich Cilento  is a seasoned entrepreneur with extensive experience in energy, banking, and technology.  Currently he is serving as CEO of Mercury portfolio company GlycosBio. Rich was previously, the Founder, President and CEO of FuelQuest, Inc. (acquired by Saracen Energy).  FuelQuest provided on-demand supply chain management and tax automation software and services for suppliers, distributors fuel buyers, and traders in Global Downstream Energy.  Prior to FuelQuest, Rich was the co-founder and Principal of The Bollard Group, which provides investment-banking services to petroleum distribution companies and other high-growth business ventures.  Rich began his career at NASA, where he was a space shuttle flight controller. Rich and his flight control team had responsibility for redesigning NASA’s Mission Control Center and implementing NASA’s Software Management Plan.  He holds a B.S. in Aeronautical and Astronomical Engineering from the University of Illinois, an MBA from the University of Houston and serves as an advisor to a number of small businesses in Texas.

Hossam Elbadawy

Hossam Elbadawy is the founder and CEO of O&G Technologies. With over 24 years’ experience in the energy sector, he has served as Senior Operating Partner at Lime Rock Partners and also as CEO of Tercel Oilfield Products, which was acquired in May 2016 by Rubicon Oilfield International. Prior to serving in these roles, Hossam spent nearly 17 years at Schlumberger where he served as Vice President of Manufacturing as well as managed the company’s leading-edge Rosharon Technology Center and the Houston Product Center. He also serves on the board of directors of Highland Fluid Technology, Rheidiant, Kinetic Pressure and Vertice Oil Tools. Hossam has an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, and a masters in engineering management, manufacturing, supply chain, product development from Northwestern University’s McCormick School of Engineering.

Clair Holley

Clair Holly is President at Nine Energy Canada and US Completion Tools.  Nine Energy is a specialist provider of shale well completion services and technology in the US and Canada.  Before joining Nine Energy, Clair spent 25 years at Baker Hughes, contributing his expertise to projects in South America, Europe, Russia and Africa. Beginning in 2005, he moved from London to Canada, where he was responsible for the operations and sales of drilling systems, drill bits, wireline services and completion tool product lines for Baker. Clair joined Nine Energy Service in 2013.  Clair holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Montana Tech, and studied Business Management at Thunderbird School of Global Management and Financial Acumen at Mays Business School at Texas A&M.
