Permian Basin

What goes out must come back?

A Permian operator had a large development program planned and wanted to better understand the impact of treatment and well spacing on field NPV.

They deployed Deep Imaging along three wine racked wells for a total of 228 hours. Shown here are the water and gas production charts for the beginning of flow back.

Deep Imaging was able to show when stages started flowing in, and how they drained radially away from and along the well, providing insight on the impact of treatment strategies and well length.

Additionally, this operator ran non-radioactive tracers to better understand flowback. Those results broadly supported the detailed flow back knowledge provided by Deep Imaging’s AEM imaging.
